Mom's October 2005 Visit

I was looking at a website with photos of the entire California coastline the other day. I came across one that showed the La Brisas restaurant where Mom, Shirley, Sandy, David and I ate lunch one day. I thought you would enjoy seeing it from the air. It is the building with the orange tile roof on the right. I also found a photo of my old condo in Port Hueneme. In looking at this picture, I can not remember a good enough reason for ever having moved away from there.

Request from Annabel
This is Annabel, using the assumed identity of Cecil--hope he and you all forgive me for butting into your family blog with this request. X'mas of 2006, Mom's tree finally collapsed after many decades of bringing joy to all who surrounded her at X'mas time. Cecil and I tried to salvage what we could and dashed off to replace the tree in that corner so filled with love and warmth. I actually saved all the broken pieces because a lot of them were from some of her oldest and most treasured ornaments. I wanted to put it into something beautiful for her this past birthday/X'mas. But as most of you may remember, I was just ever so slightly busy this past year! So I'm definitely planning on getting this project together for X'mas 2008. I won't tell you exactly what it is, but I was hoping for a little assistance from each of you. I need your best current picture of each of you: Henry, Hester, Carl, Sandy, Shirley, Charles, Noel, Boddie, Libby, Chris, Gregg, Courtney, Cameron, Davis, Matthew, Kyle, Hance, Madison, Myles, Katelyn, Anthony, Sheridan, Judah, and Joy. As you can see, I am including everybody in Hester's family. If you could send me a pdf of these photos to aquick@acsd.k12.ca.us. I would SO appreciate it. I don't have a very clear picture of Henry, so I would really appreciate if one of you could assist me with that. I do have beautiful X'mas pictures of Boddie's and Libby's families. Thanks so much for your help!

Courtney's Christmas Visit

Happy New Year family! Courtney came to visit the babies over the Christmas holiday and we had such a good time. I am posting a few pictures to share with everyone. Courtney was gracious, lovely and sweet (just like Sandy, Shirley, and Mom). Having her along with Annabel and Rinchen and Jordan and Scout in the house made it feel like a real family Christmas. Courtney is still in living in New York in the Hamptons. She works for a newspaper there.
